Suppose you have created a workbook with a a numbers of sheets, typically a number working data sheets and maybe a summary sheet.
You may want to monitor the cells on the summary sheet whilst still working on one of your other sheets in the same workbook.
In Excel this task is possible by clicking the New Window on the View Tab.
To view both windows on your screen
Hit View> Arrange All>– select any option but not Cascade
In my example below I have selected Horizontal.
Excel has assigned a new name to the new workbook window, and in addition it has changed the original.
In my example it has renamed the windows Widget Sales Summary:2 and Widget Sales Summary:1. Two Views of the same workbook- how neat is that?. Sales Summary 1 is the summary sheet and Sales Summary2 is my data sheet.
Other Excel Tips
1. Make All of Your Excel Charts The Same Size
2. Create Your Own Default Excel Template
3. Create A Customer Theme In Excel

I tried this and it works but now everytime I open the worksheet, two windows open. How can I make it open just one window?

This can happen if the workbook is saved when multiple windows are opened.
You can rectify this bu the following
Click the Close button (the X in the upper-right corner) of the window that you do not want.
NOTE: If you click Close on the File menu, Excel closes all windows that contain the workbook. Because the settings are retained, you will see all the windows again the next time you open the workbook.
Repeat step 1 until only the window that you want is open.
NOTE: When only one window is still open, the title bar no longer displays a colon and a number.
Press CTRL+S to save the workbook.
