I have been generating a lot of Excel worksheets the past few weeks, and a lot of them have conditional formatting, which got me thinking, it would be really useful to easily highlight any cells that contain conditional formatting. Just follow the instructions below:-

  • Hit the F5 key – Special – Select Conditional Formats
  • Hit Ok

All of the cells with conditional formatting will be highlighted. Alternatively you can also identify cells that contain the same type of conditional formatting on your Excel worksheet.

Just select Conditional formats then select Same. This is useful if you need to make any amendments or add more cells to the current selection.

Here we can easily identify all of my cells on my worksheet that have conditional formatting. I can now easily copy, change or delete these conditional formats that have been highlighted.
