Evil Halloween Excel Trick-A Spreadsheet That Scrolls Backwards


Hello, Excellers.  Want a Halloween trick Let’s have a bit of fun and be a bit evil?. It is Halloween after all.  How about a worksheet prank?. A spreadsheet that scrolls backwards with this Evil Halloween Excel Trick.

Only send this to your friends and colleagues who would take a joke now. Really. It is very frustrating. I did warn you.

This workbook just does not seem correct somehow. So, it scrolls the opposite way you would expect. I have great fun with an Excel trick now and again. It is very easy to set up as well.

You need to open the Developer Tab.  If you cannot see the Developer Tab you will need to enable it.

  • Properties
  • On the third option Set To True DisplayRightTo Left

The default or normal setting is FALSE. So, just change this to TRUE with the drop-down box. It looks a little weird. So, it is very frustrating for the user.

Only use this prank on your colleagues if they have a sense of humour. I hope you enjoyed this Excel Halloween trick.
