Conditional Formatting In Excel 2007 The Top/Bottom Rules


In Excel 2007 onwards it really is easy to highlight either the top or bottom 10 values in your data set with some handy conditional formatting, either fill colour or changing the font colour.  Here’s how

  • Home Tab
  • Styles Group
  • Conditional Formatting
  • Top/Bottom Rules
  • Select Top 10 Items

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • The Top Ten Window will open for you
  • Select the default number of cells  to highight or you can change it to how many you want and then the type of highlighting you want to- select any of the predefined ones or use Custom Format.
